Minister – Rev. Craig Donnelly
Craig thoroughly enjoys ministering in large, active churches with dedicated people from all walks of life, who are committed to accomplishing God's work in the world. He believes living by Christian values is tremendously important and church community helps it happen. His wife, Dawn, is a community dietitian, and together they have three wonderful children: Madeline, Benjamin, and Tamara. He likes keeping physically active, tending to his modest garden, and feeding his backyard squirrels, chipmunks and birds. And his door is always open for anyone to stop by anytime for any reason!
Minister of Pastoral Care – Rev. Robin Thomson
Rev. Robin Thomson is our minister of pastoral care. She serves Cambridge Street part time, along with her part-time duties as the minister at Queen Street United Church here in Lindsay. Raised in the Anglican church, Robin was ready to become a minister before her denomination was ready to accept women in that role, so she transferred her membership to the United Church and was ordained in 1982. She has a reputation for patience and perseverance in supporting members of her congregations through illness, transition and loss. She and Rick live in Ajax.
Director of Music: Erwin Stroobach
A man of many, many gifts, Erwin is a talented organist and composer as well as the leader of the Cambridge Street Singers adult choir, the Voices of Victory youth choir, and the church's Bellchoir. Angelique Stroobach leads the Cherub Choir for young children.
Custodian: Walt Radda
The church's CHO (chief hospitality officer), Walt welcomes, fixes, helps, finds, creates, carries, cleans and so much more. In addition to knowing the building inside out, Walt is a talented award-winning cartoonist.
Office Administrator: Pam Burtt
Keeping track of our busy church and providing information, support, administrative help and office services would be more than enough for most people, but Pam is also a dedicated volunteer with Hospice Kawartha Lakes, Girl Guides, Habitat for Humanity, and the church's Prayer Shawl Ministry. (Oh, and that's her soothing voice on our answering machine.)
Coordinator of Children, Youth and Young Families: Gabby Simpson
Gabby Simpson is our newest staff member as Coordinator of Children, Youth and Young Families and supports and serves in this part-time position. Gabby has a diploma in child and family work from Durham College and a psychology degree from Trent University. She has been an active volunteer in our church for years, particularly as the leader of the Sunday school.
